We also collect information automatically when you use the app, including device identifiers, usage data, crash logs (via Firebase Crashlytics), and analytics data.

- Enable real-time collaboration and sync across devices
- Generate and deliver split sheet PDFs

Agreement
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Hooks application ("App," "Service," or "Platform"), you ("User" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not access or use the App.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Hooks App ("Hooks," "we," "us," or "our"). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Users must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Hooks is a collaborative music composition and rights management platform that provides:
- Real-time collaborative songwriting tools
- Royalty split tracking and approval workflows
- Professional split sheet PDF generation
- Project management, version control, and idea storage
- Multilingual support and lyric export features
3. User Accounts
You must create an account to use most features of Hooks. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at support@writinghooks.app.
4. Intellectual Property and Ownership
You retain full ownership of all musical content, lyrics, compositions, and creative works you create using Hooks. Hooks does not claim any ownership rights over your content. By using the platform, you grant Hooks a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.
The Hooks platform, its design, features, and underlying technology are the intellectual property of Hooks and are protected by copyright and other applicable laws.
5. Split Sheets and Legal Documents
Split sheets and other documents generated by Hooks are provided as a convenience tool. They are not a substitute for formal legal agreements. Hooks does not provide legal advice. For legally binding agreements, consult a qualified entertainment lawyer or rights administrator.
Hooks is not responsible for disputes arising from royalty splits, publishing agreements, or any other legal matters between collaborators.
6. Collaboration and Sharing
When you invite collaborators to a project, you grant them access to the shared content within that project according to the permissions you set. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you add to shared projects.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the platform to upload or share content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the security of the platform
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the service
- Share false or misleading information about your identity or professional credits
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
8. Premium Features and Payments
Hooks offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid features will be made available in a future release. Pricing, billing terms, and refund policies will be communicated clearly before any purchase is required. We use third-party payment processors and do not store your financial information directly.
9. Data and Privacy

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hooks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of musical works. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it within the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for a reasonable period before deletion, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. For users in Brazil, applicable Brazilian law (including the LGPD) applies where required.
14. Dispute Resolution
Before filing any legal claim, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at support@writinghooks.app. We will attempt to resolve disputes within 30 days.
15. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting a notice in the App, sending an email to your registered address, or updating the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
